Our true Alaskan daughter. I just got my bear rug back today. It took the taxidermist about 10 months to get it done. I shot this bear last May in Homer, Alaska. Gavin was a little bit weary of getting on the rug; more pics of him when he builds up the courage. Ava, on the other hand, made herself quite comfortable.

She's here!!
Ava Marie Weaver, 6lbs, 14oz and 18 inches long. Jen went into labor about midnight Sunday and at 8:06 A.M. little Ava was born. The delivery went great and Jen is feeling okay. Gavin loves his little sister and can't stop giving her kisses. He's having a hard time getting used to Ava "biting mommy." As he says, "No bite mommy."
Otherwise, everything is going well. It was only -9 when we brought her home. Not awful weather (-40 when Gavin came home from the hospital). Anyway, hope everyone is doing well. We will be sleep deprived for the next few weeks, so call whenever. Love you guys.

Reenlist
Looks like I'm going for another 4 years in the Air Force. This is a picture of me reenlisting with our vice wing commander, Colonel Horton. My first 3 yrs and 2 months have gone extremely well. I won seven base-level awards, four Major Command
(Out of 9 bases) awards and several other accomplishments that I won't go into. God has been awesome to Jen and I, and the Air Force has been good to us too. Jen is officially due with our baby girl March 17, but we expect her anyday now.

Moose alert!
Pavehawk helicopters

It was 32 below zero as the crew of this A-10 performed final checks on the aircraft before it took off. You can see an F-16 taking off in the first picture. One of the main perks with my job is that I get to take pictures of anything I'm interested in. Today, I wanted to learn more about how these Airmen operated in such cold conditions ... and I get to see awesome aircraft up close and personal.Sunday, January 28, 2007
Aviano Air Base, Italy

It's official! We just found out last week we will going to Aviano Air Base, Italy! We can't wait. We should arrive in country at the end of August. Jen is so excited. All of us are excited. Distant cousins are excited. Everyone will want to visit. :)We've already been looking at houses (there is no on-base housing at the Air Force Base). So we'll be living right in town with the Italians.
I've included a map and a picture from Venice. We are only an hour from Venice. Four hours from Florence. Start making plans to visit. Trip of a lifetime. Miss you guys.
Love
Justin, Jen and Gavin
