Well, we went to the doctor last week and she was 75% sure that we were having a girl. Today, we went back for a follow up appointment and the doc is 99% sure we are having a baby girl! :) March 16th or so is the due date! We couldn't be happier. We wanted a girl and now we know!! Mom, you'll have a little baby girl to visit soon!  

Back to School

Well, I just got back from my Tuesday night class. I'm taking a New Testament class. The instructor seems really good and I'm looking forward to learning a lot from this class. I am also taking two CLEPs on Thursday and two more in another week. If I pass this class and ace my 4 CLEPs, I'll only be 6 credits away from my Associates. Yeah!!
Anyway, work has been really busy and the temperature has dropped down to "breathe and freeze" weather. With wind chill it's supposed to drop down to -50 tonight. Anyone want to visit? :) Tomorrow we find out if we are having a boy or a girl. We are hoping for a girl, but "we're happy with whatever he/she turns out to be" blah blah blah. How cliche. We'll update tomorrow, I know everyone we'll be waiting eagerly. By the way, the due date is March 16th.

I'm a big boy -- We bought Gavin a child's shaving kit. Now he shaves like daddy. He didn't miss a single spot.  

Mission Fair -- Our church had a mission fair Wednesday night. Gavin loved the cotton candy.

Meat processing 101 -- It took three guys seven hours to process three caribou into hamburger, steak and roast. mmmmm good.  

uh-oh -- Gavin was caught spreading banana pudding all over his face and hair.  

A pirate and a lion, what an odd combination.  

Gavin with g'ma -- Gavin has enjoyed spending time with g'ma Cobbs.  

Trick-or-Treat -- Gavin braved the cold weather on the 31st and went out with mommy to fill his candy bag.

I stalked this bull caribou for over an hour. Talk about a rush. He finally moved down over the top of a ridge and I was able to get around a small hill and shot him from 40 yards away. He ran about 150 yards and fell down. The other caribou I shot was a little less than 20 yards away. I also shot an arctic fox that was on the side of the road. All and all it was an awesome trip. The temperature ranged from -12 to 20 degrees. But we were the only hunters up there. Dad, wish you could have been here.  

Caribou success!! We left early Sunday morning and arrived up north (150 miles from Prudoe Bay and the Arctic Ocean) and set up camp. We spotted one lone caribou near our camp and tried to go after him, but had no luck. Monday we found several hundred caribou, but they were scattered over the tundra with no where to sneak up on them.
